While all the titles on this list are superstars premiering on their respective platforms in March, the hottest to look out for are the two new Taylor Sheridan shows on Paramount+, the two new gritty, crime-centric shows on Prime Video, and the darkly comedic, titillating suspense thriller on HBO Max.

Young Sherlock

He’s not your mom’s proper detective

Young Sherlock is adapted from Andrew Lane’s series of novels and is directed by Guy Ritchie. Offering a fresh, gritty take on the Sherlock Holmes origin story, the series continues Ritchie’s affinity for the fun cockney gangster aesthetic.

Our story follows a witty, rebellious, 19-year-old Sherlock Holmes (Hero Fiennes Tiffin of the After film series franchise) as he is removed from prison and placed in service at Oxford University. He’s raw, unfiltered, and lacks any discipline whatsoever, but he’s a prodigy, and everyone knows it. When a death occurs that puts his own freedom at risk, he sets out to solve his first murder mystery, where he comes face-to-face with a global-level conspiracy that will forever alter his path.

Young Sherlock premiered March 4 on Prime Video with 8 episodes.

Marshals

There’s a new form of justice in Montana

One of March’s biggest superstar shows is Marshals, the new Yellowstone spinoff and sequel. The Sheridan-produced series will move on from the Dutton family saga and its traditional neo-Western focus and ride straight into a violent, action-packed law enforcement procedural.

What you need to know about Marshals is that it follows the youngest Dutton sibling, Kayce (Luke Grimes), as he and his son Tate (Brecken Merrill) part ways with Yellowstone Ranch in the wake of their shared grief. As Kayce reconnects with his old friend Cal (Logan Marshall-Green), he soon finds himself joining an elite tactical team of U.S. Marshals. With the opportunity to combine his no-nonsense cowboy instincts with his Navy SEAL training, he’ll be delivering a new kind of justice across Montana’s frontier.

Marshals premiered March 1 on Paramount+. New episodes drop weekly on Sundays through May 24.
