The Xiaomi Smart Temperature and Humidity Monitor 3 Mini is expanding to European markets after its launch in China earlier this year and subsequent listing on Xiaomi’s global website.
The Smart Temperature and Humidity Monitor 3 Mini measures 53 x 45.3 x 13mm and weighs 30g. It has a 2.1-inch LCD display with a 5.1mm thin frame, offering a larger and clearer viewing area compared to the Mi Temperature and Humidity Monitor 2, which had a smaller 1.5-inch display. The new version also includes function keys, unlike the earlier model.
The device is equipped with a high-precision digital sensor that detects temperature changes as small as 0.1°C and humidity changes of 1 percent relative humidity. Readings are refreshed every six seconds and displayed with both temperature and humidity shown at the same time. Emojis on the screen indicate the comfort level of the environment.
Power comes from a CR2450 button cell battery. In standard mode, the battery lasts up to two years, while enabling battery saver mode through the Xiaomi Home app can extend this to three years.
The monitor supports Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0 and connects to the Xiaomi Home app for automation. When paired with a Bluetooth mesh gateway, it can automatically switch on a fan when the temperature rises or activate a humidifier when the air becomes dry. It also stores temperature and humidity data for up to three months locally and up to six months in the cloud.
The device can be placed freestanding with its stand, mounted using adhesive, or carried while traveling. It supports a temperature range of 0°C to 60°C and a humidity range of 0 to 99 percent relative humidity.
The Smart Temperature and Humidity Monitor 3 Mini is now available in Germany through Xiaomi’s online store for €14.99. It has also been spotted in Hungary, with pricing still unconfirmed. Support pages in the UK and France indicate that it will launch in those markets soon.
