Data analytics firm TrendForce projects that total shipments of the iPhone 17 series will rise by 3.5% compared with the iPhone 16 lineup in 2024. Alongside this forecast, the firm has shared key specifications of the Apple iPhone 17 lineup, which will include four models. The report also reveals that the iPhone 17 Air, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max will be the first iPhones to feature 12GB of RAM.
iPhone 17

As per TrendForce’s report, the iPhone 17 is expected to come with a 6.2-inch flexible AMOLED on-cell display offering LTPO 120Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by the A19 chip based on TSMC’s 3nm process, paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage options may include 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB, with pricing projected at $799, $899, and $1,099.
iPhone 17 Air
The iPhone 17 Air, which is still a tentative name, could feature a larger 6.6-inch flexible AMOLED on-cell display with LTPO 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to run on the same A19 processor and will be paired with 12GB of RAM. Storage options may include 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, with forecast pricing of $1,099, $1,299, and $1,499.
iPhone 17 Pro
The iPhone 17 Pro is also likely to sport a 6.2-inch flexible AMOLED on-cell display with LTPO 120Hz support, but it will run on the more powerful A19 Pro processor. This model is expected to feature 12GB of RAM and come in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage variants. Pricing is expected at $1,199, $1,399, and $1,599.
iPhone 17 Pro Max
Finally, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is projected to feature the largest display in the lineup, a 6.8-inch flexible AMOLED on-cell panel with LTPO 120Hz refresh rate. Like the Pro model, it will be powered by the A19 Pro processor and include 12GB of RAM. Storage variants are expected to be 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, with prices of $1,299, $1,499, and $1,699.
The report does not provide details about the iPhone 17 series’ camera, battery, or charging specifications. However, the analytics firm notes that the iPhone 17 Air represents Apple’s entry into the thin-and-light flagship category, though it may involve trade-offs in battery life and camera quality. Its sales performance, compared with the Plus series, remains uncertain.
