Nothing Phone (3) software update brings camera, battery and Wi-Fi improvements

Nothing has released another major software update for the Phone (3), improving performance and fixing some buds. The build, Nothing OS V3.5-250911-2112, brings camera improvements along with fixes and system optimizations.

The update makes manual exposure control smoother and more precise. It also fixes a tint issue in certain scenes, which now show more natural colors. The AI SuperRes Zoom algorithm has been updated to improve the sharpness of text. Action Mode has been improved to cut down noise grains, and clarity has been enhanced for third-party camera apps. Video recording has also been upgraded with better contrast, making footage appear less hazy and more vibrant.

System changes include an optimisation for the Glyph Matrix display of Always-on Glyph Toys in multi-user mode. A bug that duplicated contact avatars when adding rules in Essential Notification has been fixed. Haptic issues when previewing Generative mode for notifications have been resolved. The About phone page now has better title alignment for Arabic.

The update also improves the Bluetooth device recording interface, available under Settings > Sound and Vibration > Bluetooth device recording. Battery usage has been optimised in certain situations, and heating has been reduced to give a more stable experience. Wi-Fi connectivity and overall network stability have been improved. Performance and system stability have also been fine-tuned.

Nothing has added a note that the device may temporarily heat up and use more power during the installation, but this will return to normal once the process finishes.

In other news, Nothing has teased its next major upgrade, Nothing OS 4.0, based on Android 16, calling it “Refined” and “Redefined.” With the stable release expected soon, the confirmed eligible devices are: Phone (3), Phone (3a), Phone (3a) Pro, Phone (2), Phone (2a), Phone (2a) Plus, CMF Phone 1, and CMF Phone 2 Pro.
