Xiaomi is gearing up for a major launch in India, as the brand has officially confirmed that the Xiaomi 17 series will be arriving soon. The brand’s latest flagship was just unveiled in China, and these will be getting a wider release soon. So here’s what we know.

Xiaomi 17 Series Officially Confirmed for India Launch

The latest announcement comes directly from Xiaomi India’s CMO, who showcased the standard Xiaomi 17 model during the ongoing Snapdragon Summit. For those unaware, the event was to announce Qualcomm’s latest and greatest, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which also powers the Xiaomi 17 series. While full details about the lineup are still under wraps, it does confirm Xiaomi’s continued plans for launching premium smartphones in the region.

Unfortunately, it is still unclear which models will be arriving in the Indian market. To recall, the Chinese tech giant previously released the Xiaomi 15 alongside the Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s global debut months after its original launch. So the brand could be following a similar pattern this time around as well. Meaning, that it is unclear if the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max are also heading to India. Xiaomi could very well wait for the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and launch it in India along with the standard model that was just confirmed.

Xiaomi just announced the new flagship smartphones alongside a bunch of new products. This includes the new BE10000 Pro WiFi 7 router, a portable speaker, the premium Sound 2 Max speakers, and the new Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Glimmer Edition.
