Focal has introduced the Mu-so Hekla, a premium all-in-one soundbar designed to deliver Dolby Atmos surround sound along with high-fidelity music playback. The system debuts today at Focal’s Seoul flagship store and will launch first in South Korea and China, followed by a global rollout in Q1 2026. North American availability is slated for March, with demos planned for CES 2026 (January 6–9) and ISE 2026 (February 3–6).
The Mu-so Hekla combines 15 drivers and 660 watts of amplification in a single cabinet that Focal says can fill rooms up to 430 square feet. The system uses beamforming and crosstalk cancellation to create immersive audio effects, and includes proprietary Sphere modes for music and movies. Focal’s ADAPT room calibration automatically tunes the speaker to your space.

For connectivity, you get HDMI eARC and optical inputs, plus an RCA subwoofer output if you want to add extra bass. Streaming is handled via AirPlay, Chromecast, Bluetooth, and UPnP, with native support for Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify, and QQ Music. The Focal & Naim app manages everything from setup to multiroom audio, and the system works with voice assistants and smart-home platforms. There’s also a physical volume dial on top of the unit.

The Mu-so Hekla runs on Naim’s Pulse platform and features an aluminum chassis with a perforated grille and a distinctive finned heatsink borrowed from Naim’s amplifier designs.
The Mu-so Hekla will be priced at $3,600 (U.S.) and $4,000 (Canada), available exclusively through Focal Powered by Naim retailers.
