Motorola is doubling down on foldables in 2025, officially unveiling the Razr 60 and Razr 60 Ultra (also branded as Razr (2025) and Razr Ultra) for global markets.
Building on the momentum of last year’s Razr 50 series, the new lineup introduces smarter AI experiences, more powerful hardware, and a fresh new design philosophy. There’s also a new Razr+ (2025) variant coming exclusively to the US market.
Here’s everything you need to know about Motorola’s latest foldables.

Performance
The Razr 60 Ultra headlines the lineup with a serious hardware upgrade. It is powered by Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.
It sports a stunning 7-inch 1.5K pOLED LTPO foldable display with a smooth 1-165Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness that hits 4,000 nits, making it one of the brightest foldable panels you can buy today. The external 4-inch QuickView display has also been upgraded, supporting the same refresh rate with 3,000 nits of brightness and rugged Gorilla Glass Ceramic protection.
Meanwhile, the standard Razr 60 houses a MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chipset. The internal display here is a slightly smaller 6.96-inch Full HD+ LTPO pOLED panel with 1-120Hz refresh, while the external screen measures 3.63 inches with a 90Hz refresh rate and 1,700 nits peak brightness, covered in Gorilla Glass Victus. RAM tops out at 8GB, paired with 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.
Cameras, AI, and Smarter Interactions
Both Razr models come equipped with enhanced camera setups. The Razr 60 Ultra packs a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a surprisingly powerful 50MP front-facing shooter. Video capabilities reach up to 4K recording, ensuring sharp footage whether you’re capturing your surroundings or yourself.
The Razr 60, on the other hand, features a 50MP main sensor paired with a 13MP ultra-wide that doubles as a macro lens. It houses a 32MP selfie camera tucked inside the foldable screen.
But Motorola is betting big on AI this time. The Moto AI experience, featuring features like Catch Me Up, Pay Attention, and Remember This, has been significantly evolved based on user feedback.
The Ultra model even introduces a dedicated AI Key for quick Moto AI access anywhere, anytime. In stand or tent mode, a new Look & Talk feature lets users interact with Moto AI using just their gaze and voice, no touch needed.

Battery and Charging
The Razr 60 Ultra is powered by a 4700mAh battery and supports 68W TurboPower fast charging alongside 30W wireless charging. Meanwhile, the Razr 60 houses a slightly smaller 4500mAh battery, supporting 30W wired and 15W wireless charging. Motorola claims both devices will easily power through a full day of intensive use, thanks to the more efficient LTPO panels and chipset optimization.
Design
Motorola is pushing new materials into foldables. The Razr 60 Ultra becomes the first smartphone to feature an Alcantara finish, crafted in partnership with an iconic Italian brand, while select models also introduce a wood finish option.

The hinge has been redesigned with titanium reinforcement for better longevity, and both phones carry an IP48 rating, offering protection against dust and moderate water splashes; an improvement, but still short of full water resistance like some competitors.
A Special Razr+ for the US
There’s a special model too. The Razr+ (2025), exclusive to the US, mixes elements of both devices. It pairs a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset with a 50MP main and 50MP telephoto camera, sports a similar external and internal display design, and carries a 4,000mAh battery with 45W wired and 15W wireless charging. It offers a more performance-focused option for users who want a smaller battery but faster internals.
Pricing and Availability
Motorola’s pricing strategy keeps things competitive:
- Razr 60 Ultra: Priced at $1,300 in the US and £1,100 in the UK.
- Razr 60: Starts at $700 in the US and £800 in the UK.
- Razr+ (2025): Available at $1,000, shipping from June 3rd.
