Casio has released the G-Shock GBA-950 series in Japan. It comes in three colors: black (GBA-950-1A), purple/black (GBA-950-2A), and white/gray (GBA-950-7A). Each watch is priced at ¥25,300 (~$176).

This new model is part of Casio’s sports-focused G-Shock lineup. It supports features like step tracking, running distance and pace measurement, calorie tracking, interval timer, lap time tracking, and auto-lap. It uses your phone’s GPS to correct distance data and syncs with the Casio Watches app via Bluetooth. The app shows your activity history and daily goals.

It has a donut-shaped LCD that shows a five-stage exercise intensity graph and goal achievement rate. The combination dial has luminous hands and indexes for better visibility in low light. It is water resistant up to 20 ATM and has a shock-resistant structure. It also has a double LED light with afterglow and adjustable duration, a hand-retract function, airplane mode, user profile setting, and 12/24 hour display switching.
The watch has a carbon fiber reinforced resin case and uses an integrated bezel and band design. Casio developed the band with OUTSENSE Co., Ltd., using folding engineering based on origami. This makes the band fit better on the wrist. The case size is 48.5 x 43.9 x 16 mm, and it weighs 53 g.
Other features include a step counter, automatic time correction via smartphone, world time (300 cities), dual time, 1/100s stopwatch with memory for 45 sets, timer with up to 5 intervals, 5 alarms, and a fully automatic calendar. Battery life is about 2 years. There is no official word on a global release yet.
