Got your eye on the new Google Pixel 10a? You’re in luck. Several carriers have excellent deals on the new mid-range device today that are perfect if you’re looking for a cheap upgrade.
Firstly, the official Google Store’s opening deal is one of the best I’ve seen from the retailer in the past few months. Currently available is a trade-in rebate of up to $450 off that’s particularly good for an unlocked device. If you want a plan, you can also bundle up your Pixel 10a with a Google Fi line to get an additional rebate of up to $739 after two years.
The savings are extremely strong at major carriers today. I haven’t spotted the device at T-Mobile just yet, but Verizon currently has the device for free with a new unlimited line without a trade-in. The device is also just $3.99/mo with a plan at AT&T right now, with a free pair of Pixel Buds 2a being thrown in for good measure.
Finally, I’d also highlight Best Buy’s opening deal as a particularly strong option today. The retailer is matching the official Google Store’s trade-in rebate of up to $450 off, but you’ll also get a $100 gift card for some cheap shopping on the side. What’s new with the Google Pixel 10a?
- Debuting at $499 unlocked
- New slim-line flat design
- Faster charging and better battery life
Our Editor At Large, Lance, just published a great hands-on that’s well worth checking out if you’re looking for more information on the device.
As an overview, the main new feature is the device’s stunning slim-line design that, unusually for devices these days, doesn’t feature the usual ‘camera hump’ on the back. Instead, the rear of the device is completely flat – although there’s still an integrated housing for the 48MP main camera.
Internally, the Pixel 10a doesn’t inherit the Tensor G5 chipset from the Pixel 10, unfortunately, instead opting for the slightly older G4. You can expect mid-range performance with this device, although you’ll still get access to the latest Gemini Live features. We were also impressed with the device’s 1080 x 2424 display, which features an adaptive refresh rate to boost battery life.
