Taylor Sheridan’s The Madison on Paramount+ is the perfect Yellowstone replacement

Yellowstone fans looking for the next family drama from Taylor Sheridan won’t have to wait much longer. The next show in Sheridan’s growing empire at Paramount+ will be The Madison, a neo-Western starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell.

Paramount+ unveiled the official trailer for The Madison on Tuesday. The footage introduces the Clyburns, a family based out of New York City. After tragedy strikes, Stacy Clyburn (Pfeiffer) relocates her family to Montana as they search for meaning in their lives. The footage teases the sprawling Montana landscape as the grieving Clyburns attempt to acclimate to their surroundings.

“I’m 65 years old,” Stacy says in the trailer. “I have a very small window to feed this.”

Besides Pfeiffer and Russell, The Madison’s cast includes Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman, Patrick J. Adams, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Kevin Zegers, Rebecca Spence, Danielle Vasinova, Matthew Fox, and Will Arnett.

Taylor Sheridan created The Madison. The prolific writer and director has added another show to his roster of Paramount+ shows. These include 1883, 1923, Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King, Lawmen: Bass Reeves, Lioness, and Landman.

Christina Alexandra Voros, who helmed episodes of Yellowstone and 1883, directs The Madison’s six episodes. The Madison’s executive producers include Sheridan, Pfeiffer, Russell, Voros, David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman, and Keith Cox.

The Madison has received an intriguing release schedule. The six-episode season will be released on Paramount+ in two parts: three episodes on March 14 and three episodes on March 21. The Madison has already been renewed for a second season, with a release date announcement coming at a later date.

Sheridan is arguably best known for creating Yellowstone, the popular Western drama that aired for five seasons on Paramount Network from 2018 to 2024. Due to a licensing agreement, Yellowstone streams on Peacock, not Paramount+.

Sheridan’s Yellowstone universe is set to expand again with two shows: Marshals and The Dutton Ranch. Marshals stars Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton. Following the events of the Yellowstone finale, Kayce joins the U.S. Marshals and serves on a special task force in Montana. The series premieres March 1 on CBS and will stream on Paramount+.

The Dutton Ranch stars Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, respectively. The show will focus on Beth and Rip post-Yellowstone as they raise Carter (Finn Little), a teenage boy the couple takes in after his father’s death. The Dutton Ranch also stars Jai Courtney, Ed Harris, and Annette Bening. It is expected to premiere sometime in 2026 on Paramount+.
