Pros: Vintage design aesthetics, built-in stereo speakers, affordable price.
Cons: Sound quality may not satisfy audiophiles and non-upgradeable components.
The Victrola Vintage 3-Speed Bluetooth Portable Suitcase Record Player is a versatile, retro-styled turntable with modern features.
Encased in a suitcase-style shell, it’s portable and easy to use. It offers three speeds (33 1/3, 45, 78 RPM) to play all types of vinyl records. Built-in Bluetooth can wirelessly stream music from any Bluetooth-enabled device. It includes built-in stereo speakers, providing decent sound without needing additional equipment.
Its classic aesthetics, combined with contemporary functionalities like an aux-in and headphone jack, make it an appealing option for those seeking a blend of old and new.
While I don’t put this category of speaker as a competitor for a full-stack hifi system, I think these models are of great importance in getting new users into the vinyl hobby. With such a low cost of entry, people can experiment and become fans of vinyl records, which encourages companies in all areas to keep the category alive when, just a few years ago, interest was waning due to high costs of entry. I played with this one a lot, and I can tell you it is fun and certainly not a toy.
