The XIO features KEF’s Uni-Q MX driver array and four P185 LF drivers arranged in a force-cancelling configuration. KEF says its Velocity Control Technology (VECO) actively monitors and corrects driver motion to reduce distortion, while its Music Integrity Engine (MIE) for Cinema manages multi-channel DSP, virtualization, and placement correction.
Frequency response is listed as 34Hz–20kHz (±3dB at 85dB/1m), with maximum SPL rated at 102dB at 1m. Intelligent Placement Technology (IPT) is built in, adapting output to shelf or wall-mounted setups. Wall-mount hardware is included.
Inputs include HDMI eARC, optical, and USB-C (for service). RCA subwoofer output is provided, and KEF’s KW2 RX accessory allows wireless pairing with any KEF subwoofer. Streaming is handled via KEF’s W2 platform, with support for Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz, Amazon Music, Deezer, and more.
Playback and settings can be managed via the XIO top panel, remote control, or the KEF Connect app. Preset modes include Dialogue and Night. The XIO is offered in Slate Black and Silver Grey finishes. Pricing has not been announced.
