FiiO has introduced two Jade Audio headphones—the open-back planar magnetic JT7 and the open-back dynamic JT3—alongside the BR15, a compact desktop Bluetooth receiver with an onboard 24-bit R2R DAC. All three target first-step hi-fi buyers with low prices and full-system flexibility.
FiiO is positioning the JT7 as a true entry-price planar and pairing it with a sub-$200 desktop receiver that supports modern Bluetooth codecs and wired I/O, aiming to lower the cost of a credible headphone setup.
JT7 (planar magnetic): A lightweight, foldable design built around a 95 × 86mm planar driver and a push-pull, two-way high-density magnet array. FiiO cites a fully symmetrical drive system for low distortion, fast transients, and a wide soundstage. The diaphragm adds F.E.S. (FiiO Elastic System), an embossed structure intended to increase elastic amplitude and bolster low-frequency dynamics. The JT7 weighs 318gm and includes detachable 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced cables, plus replaceable earpads and a removable Velcro headband cushion. Inputs include Bluetooth, USB (front and rear), and S/PDIF; outputs include two pairs of RCA plus one XLR balanced. A 10-band PEQ is accessible via the FiiO Control app on laptop or smartphone.
