Anbernic has launched a new Android handheld gaming console called the RG 477M. The device is now available in China, starting at 1,588 yuan ($220) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version. The higher-end model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at 1,898 yuan ($264).

The RG 477M features a CNC-machined aluminum alloy body and comes in two color options: Silver Blade and Chocolate Bronze. It uses a 4.7-inch LTPS In-Cell display with a resolution of 1280×960, supports a 120Hz refresh rate, offers up to 500 nits brightness, and has a 1200:1 contrast ratio. The screen includes OCA full lamination and multi-touch support.
The handheld is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor, built on a 4nm process. It includes an octa-core CPU with a peak clock speed of 3.35GHz and is paired with a Mali-G615 MC6 GPU. The handheld runs Android 14 and supports both Android games and over 30 emulation platforms. Anbernic also includes a game downloader called RixelHK for accessing compatible titles.
The device includes Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and a 5300mAh battery with 27W fast charging. It also offers dual speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a six-axis gyroscope, a vibration motor, an active cooling system with a heat pipe and fan, and a USB Type-C port that supports 1080p DisplayPort video output.
The handheld uses large-angle 3D Hall-effect joysticks, each surrounded by customizable RGB lighting that supports various effects such as breathing, rainbow, and marquee. Anbernic includes support for TF card expansion up to 2TB. Buyers can also choose between bundles that include a 128GB or 256GB SD card preloaded with thousands of games.
The RG 477M weighs 354 grams and measures 17.6×8.94×1.6 cm. Anbernic has also confirmed availability in the US market through its global store. The US pricing starts at $219.99, with a limited-time discount of $20 valid until August 5.
