Most of the foam is of good quality, including the memory foam upper comfort layer and polyfoam transition layer, which will help it resist sagging longer compared with lower-quality foams.
However, the foam used for the quilted top isn’t dense enough to be considered good quality. There are two different kinds of polyfoam used in that layer. These foams (one is blue, and one is white) feel different and have slightly different densities. Since most of the foam in the layer is the blue type, we’ve included the result for that foam here under ‘Quilted Top Fill.’ The white foam has a slightly lower density of 23.5 kg/m3. These foams in the quilted layer are lower-quality and may sag or develop permanent indentation sooner.
The latex layer uses the densest foam in the mattress. While density isn’t used as an indicator of quality for latex like it is for memory foam and polyfoam, it’s considered a durable material.
