Beko HomeWhiz app gets smarter with AI automation, energy tracking and more

Beko has given its smart home platform, HomeWhiz, a glow-up, with a focus on saving energy, cutting bills, and maybe even rescuing your favorite jumper from a laundry mishap.

The updated app now taps into AI smarts and real-time data to help users run connected appliances more efficiently, sustainably, and without a lot of extra button-pushing.

HomeWhiz can now track energy and water usage by the day, week, or month and translate that into insights that should be easier to understand.

There are also new adaptive features that use AI to learn your habits and preferences over time; so if you always dial down the spin cycle or favor cooler washes, your washing machine will start to adjust itself accordingly.

It even accounts for environmental factors like humidity or temperature, optimizing for energy savings.

On top of that, the platform now supports over-the-air firmware updates, meaning your appliances can improve over time. These updates also unlock predictive maintenance features, which can flag potential problems before they snowball into costly repairs.

With 22 brands under its wing including the likes of Grundig, Hotpoint and Indeset – Beko’s broader vision seems to be creating a single smart platform that works across all its appliances.
