Casio’s latest high-end G-Shock models, the MRG-B2000BG-3A and MRG-B2000RG-3A, are now available for pre-order in Japan at ¥385,000 (~$2,690) each. The MRG-B2000BG-3A also appears on Casio’s UK site, indicating an international release is planned, though UK pricing and launch dates remain unannounced.

Both models are part of the MR-G series, G-Shock’s premium line. They celebrate kurogane-iro, a traditional Japanese iron blue-green color seen in samurai armor. Both watches share the same core features but differ in design materials.

The MRG-B2000BG-3A features a solid titanium bezel and band, both hardened and finished with green DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating. It weighs 150g and includes design elements such as a tortoiseshell dial base and sword-inspired curved indexes, achieved through Yamagata Casio’s fine processing.
The MRG-B2000RG-3A uses a recrystallized titanium bezel, evoking patterns found in Japanese sword blades. It pairs with a soft, durable Durasoft fluoro rubber strap featuring the Bishamon tortoiseshell pattern, a historical symbol of strength. This variant weighs 138g.
Both watches come with a sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating, a screw-lock crown, and a shock-resistant, antimagnetic structure. They offer 200-meter water resistance and feature Bluetooth connectivity for smartphone pairing via the CASIO WATCHES app. The watches automatically adjust the time using radio signals (Multiband 6) covering Japan, North America, Europe, and China.
Functionality includes world time for ~300 cities, a 1-second stopwatch, a 24-hour countdown timer, a daily alarm, super illuminator LED lighting, automatic hand correction, and a fully automatic calendar. Powered by Casio’s Tough Solar system, the watches run for ~5 months per charge (26 months in power-saving mode).
In other news, Casio has recently launched the MTG-B4000 series in Japan, its first G-Shock watches co-designed with AI. AI used shock-resistance data and 3D modeling to help develop the new Dual Core Guard structure, blending carbon and stainless steel.
