Dell has officially introduced the S3225QC, its first-ever non-gaming OLED monitor for the Chinese market, priced at 6,499 yuan ($888) on JD.com. First unveiled for the global market earlier this year, this 31.6-inch QD-OLED display marks Dell’s entry into the premium mixed-use monitor category, aiming to balance entertainment, content creation, and casual gaming in a single package.

Dell S3225QC Monitor Specifications
Unlike Dell’s Alienware lineup that caters purely to gamers, the S3225QC blends high-end visuals with productivity-focused features. It sports a 3840 x 2160 resolution (4K) with a 16:9 aspect ratio and leverages Samsung’s QD-OLED technology for deeper blacks and vibrant color reproduction.
The panel hits a peak brightness of 1000 nits and claims an infinite contrast ratio thanks to self-emissive pixels. It covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and is factory-calibrated for color accuracy with Delta E < 2.
In terms of performance, the monitor is no slouch. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate and an ultra-fast 0.03ms grey-to-grey response time. AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support ensures smooth, tear-free gameplay, while certifications like VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 and Dolby Vision help deliver immersive cinematic visuals.

But this monitor isn’t just about what you see — it’s also about what you hear. Dell is going bold with five 5W speakers and AI-powered 3D spatial audio that can mimic a 7.1-channel setup. It even uses head-tracking technology to adjust the soundstage based on your position. No external speakers? No problem.
In terms of connectivity, the monitor includes a full-featured USB-C upstream port with 90W Power Delivery, two downstream USB-C ports (15W each), and a conveniently placed side-mounted HDMI 2.1 port. One of the USB-C ports is retractable, and a hidden pop-up hub design keeps things clean and accessible.
The display includes TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort and ComfortView Plus certification for hardware-level blue light reduction, helping reduce eye strain without color distortion. It’s also built with eco-conscious materials like recycled plastics, aluminum, and glass.
Wrapped in Dell’s minimalist design language, the monitor features soft curves, a fabric-covered speaker grille, and an adjustable ergonomic stand with support for tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustment. Dell includes a 3-year premium panel warranty and advanced on-site replacement service.
In related news, Asus recently introduced two high-performance gaming monitors: the ROG Strix XG248Q5G-P with a staggering 610Hz refresh rate—pushing beyond the 500Hz barrier—and the ROG XG32UCG, a 32-inch display offering dual modes with 4K at 160Hz and Full HD at 320Hz.
