After teasing them back at CES 2025, GE Lighting (part of the Savant group) is finally flipping the switch on its latest outdoor mood-setters: the new GE Cync Dynamic Effects Smart Café Lights.
They’re available starting today, landing just in time for summer nights sat around the patio.
GE’s new take features corkscrew-style filaments that deliver saturated color without the harsh glare, which should help you set just the right vibe whether you’re throwing a backyard bash or winding down with a drink and your favorite playlist.
Each bulb along the string can be individually controlled via the Cync App and they sync to music too.
That means you can create custom lighting shows that match the beat, shift with the mood, or just cycle through 16 million color options and white tones.
Brightness is adjustable, voice control is baked in (hello Alexa and Google Assistant), and they play nicely with the rest of the Cync ecosystem if you’re already invested in that smart home setup.

The lights come in 24ft ($39.99) and 48ft ($69.99) lengths, with extension support up to 96 feet total. That’s plenty of coverage for wrapping a deck, stretching across the yard, or framing the perimeter of a porch.
Installation should be easy enough, with built-in hooks and a rugged design. They are IP65-rated for outdoor use, meaning they’re good to go in rain, wind, or whatever else your local weather throws at them.
The LEDs are rated for up to 15,000 hours, and since they’re part of GE Lighting’s broader Cync platform, they integrate with schedules, scenes, and smart routines across your home.
You can grab the new GE Cync Dynamic Effects Smart Café Lights now at GE Lighting’s website, Amazon, and Walmart.
