The Redmi Desktop Speaker 2 Pro features a cylindrical body. It uses a metal mesh grille to shield its quad-driver setup, which consists of two 10W racetrack speakers and dual passive bass radiators. It relies on an external adapter for steady power delivery.

Xiaomi angles the drivers at 53 degrees to align with natural listening positions at a desk, producing what it describes as a “sky sound field” for wider audio coverage. The product has also cleared blind listening evaluations and earned the CGEC Golden Ear certification.

The speaker includes a DSP digital audio processor with a fully digital signal chain that reduces noise while preserving detail across different types of content. It offers five EQ modes: Balanced, Deep Bass, Pure Vocals, Game, and Cinema. Each mode is tuned for specific scenarios, such as music playback, gaming, or movie watching.

The Redmi Desktop Speaker 2 Pro also includes lighting effects. Xiaomi has added 24 RGB LEDs that can produce six modes, including Aurora 2.0, Neon 2.0, and Starry Flash. The lighting synchronizes with audio playback to create a dynamic visual effect.

For controls, the speaker provides a multifunction knob on the side along with two buttons on the top. These handle volume, EQ, channel switching, and lighting adjustments.

Xiaomi also provides companion software called C-Hub that allows users to customize both audio and lighting. The speaker includes a built-in microphone with echo cancellation and a 3.5mm input for external microphones.

Four anti-slip pads keep the unit steady on a desk. The rear panel includes ports for USB, DC power, Aux-in, and microphone expansion.
