His latest Weibo post explains the design, functionality, and acoustic improvements that set this flagship apart from typical smartphones. Redmi K90 Pro Max has a 2.1 speaker system

According to Sun Cun, the circular module placed beside the camera lens on the Redmi K90 Pro Max is not a decorative element but an actual speaker. He clarified that this rear speaker does not compromise the phone’s IP68-rated water and dust resistance, as the design has been engineered to maintain complete protection.

In addition, Redmi has added an audio-vibration dust removal feature through software that helps clear the speaker openings for optimal sound quality.

Sun Cun further mentioned that the denim colour variant of the K90 Pro Max uses a tech denim material process, which accurately reproduces the texture and feel of real denim while offering improved resistance to dirt, wear, and scratches. He assured users that the cooling performance of this variant is on par with the black and white models.

According to a well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, the Redmi K90 series will include a 2.1-channel speaker system, combining top, bottom, and rear speakers to enhance immersion during gaming, video playback, and music. The K90 Pro Max will also feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite processor, a 6.59-inch 2K flat display with ultrasonic fingerprint recognition, and a 50-megapixel 1/1.3-inch main camera with OIS, paired with a periscope telephoto lens.
