Samsung has officially launched its 32-inch Color E-Paper digital signage display, model EM32DX, priced at $1,200. The display was first unveiled in April this year. It targets businesses in food service, retail, and transportation industries that seek energy-efficient alternatives to traditional digital signage.

Samsung EM32DX Specifications
The Samsung EM32DX display uses an E Ink Spectra 6 panel that supports 54,600 colors through dithering and delivers a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Samsung’s color imaging algorithm optimizes the visual output to create smooth gradients and softer edges. The display aims to replicate the appearance of printed posters while consuming far less power than conventional LCD or OLED signage.
The device can operate without a constant power source. It comes with a built-in 4,600mAh battery that lasts up to 200 days on a full charge under typical usage, and up to 500 days if the content is updated less frequently. According to the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards, the display consumes 0.00W when showing static images.
Samsung has designed the EM32DX to be lightweight and easy to install. It weighs 2.5 kilograms and measures 17.9mm thick. The panel features uniform bezels (13.9mm) on all sides and supports both landscape and portrait orientations. Businesses can mount it on walls, ceilings, or tables using VESA-compatible accessories.

Connectivity options include two USB-C ports, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 8GB of onboard storage. Samsung also provides a dedicated E-Paper app for Android and iOS devices, which allows users to create content, schedule display times, and manage content locally. The Samsung VXT cloud platform enables centralized management across multiple displays and supports real-time monitoring. The display runs on Tizen 8.0 and integrates with existing business systems through Tizen Enterprise APIs.
Samsung positions the EM32DX as an eco-friendly digital signage solution that helps businesses lower operational costs and reduce environmental impact. The display uses recycled materials and ships in paper-based packaging.
Pricing and Availability
Retailers such as Samsung’s own business store and PCNation have listed the display. Prices currently start at $1,200, with some early discounts bringing it down to $1,166.
In related news, MSI recently launched the MPG 242R X60N gaming monitor featuring a 600Hz refresh rate and 0.1ms response time, while LG has introduced the UltraFine 40WT95UF, the world’s first 5K2K monitor with Thunderbolt 5 support.
