Why I Recommend It
The Sony WH-L600 offers an immersive listening experience with its surround sound capabilities and multiple sound modes, including cinema, game, and voice modes, making it versatile for different types of content.
I feel Sony really stepped up their game with this headphone and started listening to what their audience was wanting in a TV headphone. For me, the RF wireless connection provides a stable link with a range of up to 98 feet, which is sufficient for most living spaces but about half of what I got from the Sennheisers in real-world testing.
The lightweight design and comfortable ear pads make them easy to wear for long periods, and the included docking station doubles as a charger and a convenient storage solution. The wireless range is shorter than some other models and the bass is quite pronounced. I think that’s where they really come into their own and if you are someone who watches a lot of action these are actually better than the Sennheiser. I listen to a lot of lectures and watch dramas so bass was less of a priority for me however when I did I felt a lot more immersion and deep rumble in explosions, fight scenes etc.
So with that in regard, I will say that the Sony WH-L600 is a fantastic option for those who want an immersive audio experience for TV and movies creating more of a cinema-like audio experience.
