Xiaomi has launched the Robot Vacuum S40C in Europe, following its global unveiling in May 2025. The device is currently on sale in Italy and Germany through the Xiaomi online store at €159.99, which is a discount from its regular price of €189.99. Support pages for the UK and a listing on Amazon Netherlands suggest it will be released in more European countries soon.
The Robot Vacuum S40C features a suction power of 5,000Pa, designed to pick up hair, dust, and larger particles. It offers four power modes: Silent for low-noise cleaning, Standard for daily use, Strong for dust removal, and Turbo for deep cleaning. The vacuum includes a 520ml dust container and a 260ml water tank, reducing the frequency of emptying and refilling.
The cleaning system is supported by LDS laser navigation with 360° room scanning, which quickly maps the home for accurate route planning. It stores maps for efficient coverage and avoids repeating the same areas. Multiple sensors help it detect obstacles, prevent falls, and climb steps up to 20mm.
For floor cleaning, the water tank uses intelligent flow control with three levels of dispensing to suit different surfaces such as wood or tile. Anti-spill technology ensures even distribution of water. Users can also set preferences for carpets, choose specific zones, or create restricted areas.
The vacuum connects to the Xiaomi Home app for remote control, real-time monitoring, scheduling, and OTA system updates. It also works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control.
The Robot Vacuum S40C (model E101) measures 340 x 340 x 97mm, weighs 3.44kg, and runs on a 2,400mAh effective battery (2,600mAh nominal). It has a rated power of 55W and comes with a charging station (model E101CDZ).
