Apple devices do not come cheap, which is why it is always good when the contract pops up. Apple is currently undergoing an offer that will allow you to recite an old device for discounts on Apple’s new devices. And honestly, this is a great way to make this forgotten tech drawer in good use.
You can save 10 % on your next Apple Accessories
As Apple’s current proposal is noted on the web page, the company is currently undergoing 2025 Earth Day promotion, which allows users to recite the qualified device in exchange for a 10 % discount on eligible Apple accessories.
The offer is just valid at brick and mortar Apple Store locations within the United States and will continue from April 16, 2025 to May 16, 2025 (while supply last).

What can you use instead of selling your old smartphone?

You can recycle up to five qualified devices during this period. Unfortunately, the renewed products and open box returns as part of this promotion cannot be exchanged and will not be eligible for discount.
Combine your 10 % discount with Apple’s other offerings
Now, we know that when it comes to Apple’s product, a 10 % exemption may not seem close to anything. The good news is that this promotion can be linked to Apple’s other promotions for “individual closing user users”, which potentially refers to people who buy products for personal use rather than companies or sellers, unless they come in the same advertising period.

For example, if you are a current (or newly accepted) university student or a parent, faculty member, staff, or any grade level home school teacher, you will be eligible for Apple’s education prices, which offer discounts on selected products, including air pods and air tags.
So, if you have a device that comes under Apple’s capacity standards, and it is just rotting in your closet, you can resicide it, get 10 % discount, and connect it with an education discount!
You will need a photo ID to recycle a device, so make sure you take it with you when the Apple store.
All of all, this is a clean way to put your old, forgotten devices in good use, and the best excuse to upgrade to the shiny new Apple Accessories that you have taken.
